Laser scanning Library of Celsus - 500,000 points per second!
See how we used a high tech laser scanner to collect 500,000 data points/second, resulting in the most detailed record of The Library of Celsus landmark... EVER!
We're designing a modern addition to this ancient Roman landmark in Turkey. But it's crumbly. It's comprised of irregular shapes. Oh, and our architects are in Los Angeles. So... how do we collect detailed enough information to use as a starting point (also known as an as-built), to enable the project architects to design something that will actually fit perfectly onto the existing structure?
Cue modern, innovative construction technology. Without it, we would have been on site for weeks collecting individual measurements and data points. Instead, we did it in two days, creating a hyper detailed point cloud scan of the entire building. Watch the video to find out how!
